We are SAMSEA

We, the Ex-Student of Aloysius Minor Seminary (SAMS) Kitiwum Kumbo Diocese, Cameroon, agreed to form an association called SAMS Ex-Student Association (SAMSEA), with a Motto Gratitude-Enthusiasm-Optimism.

The Church is fully aware that the desired renewal of the whole Church depends significantly upon the priestly ministry animated by the spirit of Christ and solemnly affirms the critical importance of priestly training (OT). The Church’s hopes and the souls’ salvation are thus committed to this priestly formation.

The seminary was formally inaugurated under the patronage of St.Aloysius Gonzaga in1993, the feast of the saint, the universal protector, patron of youth, especially seminarians. Saint Aloysius’ Minor Seminary, Kitiwum, Diocese of Kumbo, Cameroon, is a Secondary and High School and also an institution for formation toward the diocesan priesthood. Since the inception of this Minor Seminary in 1993, it has produced over 100 priests who are now serving not just the Ecclesiastical Province of Bamenda but all of Cameroon and worldwide.

As an offshoot of the Minor Seminary, SAMSEA embraces as members all ex-students, spouses of SAMSEA members and former and present staff as honorary members.

Preserving memories not only shows how our culture has changed but also how life as a whole has transformed throughout history. For reminiscing on with past generations, it’s equally as crucial for teaching future generations

We spread love to make living easy and happy.

One of the abiding lessons we take away from the 2020 pandemic is that we have discovered greater depths of resolve, more excellent care for one another, and far more significant, more creative problem-solving capabilities than perhaps we ever realised. We must let those lessons of agility and creativity become part of the muscle memory that shapes how we work from now on....None of us has a “playbook” for dealing with the kinds of disruption we’re facing. Still, among our responses, there will be common elements, such as increased Teamwork, our capabilities to unlock opportunity and untapped potential, and instigating more sustainable ways of living and working through joint projects that helps the SAMESA community grow.
